Frequently Asked Questions.

Why should I have a Wedding DVD?
The only way to capture the emotion and enormity of the day is through video. You will be surprised how much you will miss without the possibility of reliving the special day and sharing the joy with your close family members or even guests that couldn’t attend. on the day.

Most brides will be very sorry that didn’t invest in a Professional videographer to capture their Wedding Day until after the event.

A professional DVD is the best investment that you can keep in your family forever and cherish all the moments again and again.

Are all DVD’s the same?
Firstly a quality blank media must be used if they are to be compatible with most consumer decks. Cheap media will be very problematic and do not have a lifetime guarantee.PC produced discs do a fair job but may be subject to compatibility problems and are also prone to quality degradation depending on the length of your wedding.

“A DVD produced on a professional editing suite such as Edius will ultimately be higher quality regardless of the duration of your wedding. They are also produced in real time and hence more efficient at encoding.”

Can you shoot in HIGH DEFINITION?
The equipment we use can record in High Definition but you will need a BLU-RAY player and HD TV to be able to take full advantage of the quality. It is also more expensive to edit and shoot in HD.

What equipment do you use?
We use broadcast quality state of the art Canon HD cameras. The reason we chose Canon was for the quality and clarity of the lenses, resulting in a sharper more natural picture recognized in the industry.

How long will my wedding DVD go for?
Most DVD's will only allow 2 hours maximum of footage to be recorded per disc.
However, Edius system can record an extra half an hour without affecting the quality.

How long will it take before we can view our DVD?
The turnaround time is usually between 4-6 weeks depending on the time of year.
On average it is about 2-3 weeks.

What is the difference between a DVD copy and fully authored DVD?
DVD copies are simply copied to DVD by a digital video recorder much like the old VCR.
These only have simple menus and may or may not contain random chapters.

A fully authored DVD will be custom created with backgrounds, motion menus, specific chapters to navigate and take advantage of a truly interactive disc.

What type of labels do you use for the DVD?
Printed sticky labels on DVD's may also be problematic when played on some decks.
The heat generated by the players eventually melt the adhesive and peel off with time.

We only print directly onto Ink jet white printable DVD's for maximum security and compatibility..

Do you use lights?
We only use lights when necessary or when lighting conditions are so poor the quality of the picture may be affected.

Do we choose the music for the video?
Yes. You will need to decide on your music choices before your wedding and provide any copies of songs we don’t carry.
Otherwise a charge per song will apply for downloading from iTunes.

Do you have back up equipment?
In the unlikely event of equipment failure we carry back up equipment whenever possible.
